great quote! bonhoeffer did some cool stuff about the image of God in gen 1 being our capacity for relationship. i think gen 2-3 show give him some exegetical support. karl barth picked up on that idea (from bonhoeffer’s work) and community and relationality are major pegs in his “church dogmatics.”
